J.R. Samples, Founder and Chief Elephant Officer at The Blind Elephant (TBE) has three decades of experience that ranges equally from Fortune 500 executive positions to growing his own business from $3 million to $25 million.
As a result, he has the unique viewpoint of a small start-up entrepreneur, knows the challenges of growing into a profitable mid-sized firm and the corporate experience of managing a P&L for a F500 firm. Over the course of his career, J.R. has launched products, trained and led multi-million dollar sales teams, bought and sold companies, joined an organization and tripled its revenues, then joined another and quadrupled those.
Ultimately, his passion for helping executives and organizations of all types and sizes led him to found TBE which combines his unique experience, with the tools of The Baseline Company, where he is also CEO. As we have all experienced at one time or another, it is the dynamic combination of the right tools in the hands of the experienced craftsman that creates extraordinary results.
J.R. is a Six Sigma Yellow Belt and received his business degree from Olivet Nazarene University, as well as an honorary diploma from the School of Hard Knocks. He also happens to be a certified scuba diver, a seasoned backpacker, motorcyclist and has fallen over the edge of the Grand Canyon and lived to tell about it.
